Long and narrow, The Grind sports a sleek, steel bar on one side and high-back, curvy booths on the other, creating a sense of intimacy. Warm, neutral tones of brown, gray and cream are punctuated with flattering lipstick-red drop lights. Oversized black-and-white photos of local personalities loom above the booths, and a row of flat-screen TVs hangs above the bar. A groovy soundtrack at just the right noise level keeps the energy level high yet doesn’t drown out conversation.
